Kohima Society Formed
Our comrades in Kohima have formed the Kohima Educational Society (KES), a body recognized by the Governments of Nagaland and India. Those who have been members of the Advisory Committee are now office bearers of this Society.
Pheluopfelie Kesiezie is Chairman; Atuo Mezhur is Treasurer and Charles Chasie is Secretary. The other two members are Shurhozelie Liezietsu and Khrielie Kevichusa.
The effect of this development is that the Kohima Educational Society becomes a counterpart of the Kohima Educational Trust in the UK. It will be able to raise funds for educational projects in Nagaland, and also to receive funds from the UK for projects on which both bodies are agreed.
The Society has prepared an application to receive funds from the UK, to the Government of India with the help of Kallash Gupta, a solicitor resident in New Delhi who is an expert in this field.
