Dr Phyobemo Ngully

Dr Phyobemo Ngully

March 18, 1956 - July 3, 2025

It is with huge and devastating sadness that we must announce the passing of Dr Phyobemo Ngully, the Chairman of the Kohima Educational Society.

Dr Ngully was a nationally renowned psychiatrist. He held many senior medical appointments and was the Director of the Regional Resource and Training Centre in Nagaland. He was also the second Chairman of the Advisory Board and Chairman of the Kripa Foundation Nagaland, a branch of India’s largest NGO, which works with people suffering from chemical dependency and HIV Infection.

Dr Ngully worked tirelessly to help and support his family and community in Kohima. KET owes him a great deal for all the work he did on our behalf, he made an incredibly significant contribution to our joint KES / KET endeavour. We will miss him not only as an integral part of the KES organisation, but also as a personal friend.

He leaves a wife and six daughters.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this incredibly sad time.
